About The Position

The Organizational Effectiveness Lead runs the programs that shape how people at Tutor grow, perform, and understand what is expected of them, including the performance cycle, manager development, leveling, 360 feedback, pulse surveys, and values programming. The Head of People sets the direction and designs the systems; this role implements them reliably, gathers feedback, and helps improve them each cycle. Tutor is a fast-scaling team of more than 160 people. The company has established a leveling framework, performance philosophy, and shared values, and this role will take ownership of operating those systems end to end. The position calls for excellent execution, curiosity about what works, strong organization and communication, and the ability to spot insights in data and employee conversations. The role is based in-office in Watertown, Massachusetts, and includes engaging with managers in factories and warehouses as well as technical teams.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering manager development through workshops, first-time-manager onboarding, or one-on-one coaching.
  • Comfort interpreting pulse survey or 360 results, identifying meaningful findings, and presenting them to leadership without overstating or understating conclusions.
  • Strong facilitation and writing skills, including the ability to make complex topics clear to busy people.
  • Credibility with senior technical leaders and comfort holding them accountable to a process.
  • Willingness to work in a factory or warehouse environment and engage with production supervisors and field leads.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Boston area; the role is in-office in Watertown, Massachusetts.

  • Deliver manager development through new-manager onboarding, workshops, one-on-one coaching, and maintenance of the manager expectations framework.
  • Maintain and extend the Leveling Framework, drafting rubrics for functions without them, working with functional leaders, and keeping the framework current as the organization changes.
  • Run values and culture programming after onboarding, and work with Recruiting and People Ops on how values appear in hiring and the first 90 days.
  • Run 360 feedback and the monthly pulse survey, including administration, analysis, and clear leadership readouts.
