About The Position

Organizational Development Manager is a leadership role responsible for the clinical planning, development, implementation, and optimization of clinical and operational programs across the healthcare organization. This role focuses on expanding service lines, improving care delivery models, advancing clinical informatics, and strengthening workforce training and clinical workflows. This manager leads care coordination and clinic supervisor roles, partnering closely with clinical leaders, operational leaders, finance, and quality teams to identify growth opportunities, redesign care processes, and ensure programs are sustainable, compliant, data-informed, and aligned with organizational strategy and community needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, business, informatics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical program or service line development.
  • Demonstrated experience with training and workforce development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical informatics or data-informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience with workflow redesign and operational improvement in healthcare settings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, outpatient and inpatient operations, and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into executable programs.
  • Proficiency in analyzing clinical, financial, and operational data.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, MPH, or related) advantageous.
  • Experience in rural health, critical access hospitals, or integrated healthcare systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and expansion of clinical and outpatient service lines.
  • Expand care services, ensuring appropriate alignment between clinic operations and outpatient utilization.
  • Facilitate the development and expansion of services across care.
  • Develop and implement programs, including workflow design, staffing models, technology needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expand outpatient services, including infusion-based and specialty services.
  • Increase the availability and structure of self-pay services within clinics.
  • Support the further development of community health integration.
  • Collaborate with care management, population health, and quality teams to strengthen care coordination, transitions of care, and patient engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to align programs with community needs, grant opportunities, and value-based care initiatives.
  • Partner with clinical leaders and education teams to design and implement training programs that support new and expanded services.
  • Ensure staff training aligns with new workflows, technologies, regulatory requirements, and clinical best practices.
  • Assist therapy and clinical departments with establishing, standardizing, and expanding workflows tied to new and existing programs.
  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure technology solutions support effective program delivery.
  • Utilize clinical, operational, and financial data to evaluate program performance and inform decision-making.
  • Support the integration of electronic health record (EHR) tools, reporting, and data analytics into program workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline documentation, improve data capture, and enhance reporting for clinical and operational programs.
  • Conduct program assessments, feasibility studies, and business case analyses for new and existing services.
  • Define success metrics, performance indicators, and reporting structures for programs.
  • Monitor outcomes related to quality, patient experience, utilization, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for executive leadership and governing bodies.
  • Oversee facility's care coordination resources and guide strategic objectives.
  • Manage Clinic supervisor roles to ensure success of clinic operations.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader working with clinical, financial, quality, compliance, and operational teams.
  • Act as a change leader, supporting departments through program growth and operational transformation.
  • Ensure all program development activities align with regulatory, accreditation, and compliance standards.
