About The Position

The Human Resources department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF Insurance values to join their team as the Director, Organizational Development. This is a full-time, exempt position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • At least eight years of progressive experience in organizational development, training or talent development, including leadership or people management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, organizational effectiveness models, change management, and leadership development.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and evaluating enterprise-wide talent and leadership development programs.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and consulting skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance, six months in current position, and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.

  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., SPHR, CPTD/APTD, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for organizational development initiatives, including talent development, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational change efforts.
  • Lead enterprise-wide talent planning and succession planning processes across all leadership levels.
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR leadership to assess organizational needs and design solutions that improve effectiveness, engagement, and performance.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of leadership, employee development, and training programs, ensuring alignment with WCF's values and business strategy.
  • Guide the implementation and ongoing evolution of company-wide initiatives such as the WCF Way and other culture-based programs.
  • Consult with leaders on organizational design, team effectiveness, performance, and change management strategies.
  • Lead the selection of instructional methods, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning models.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of organizational development programs.
  • Oversee mentoring and development frameworks to support employee growth and leadership readiness.
  • Deliver professional presentations and facilitate workshops for leaders, managers, and employees.
