2nd Shift Order Selector
About The Position
Crown Distributors is hiring an Order Selector for its Topeka facility. No prior warehouse experience is required; training is provided for punctual, reliable applicants who can meet the physical demands of the role. The position works Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Fridays and Saturdays off. The Order Selector uses a voice-directed system and scanning equipment to select customer orders, builds stable pallets, wraps and stages completed pallets, and operates electric pallet jacks. Complimentary, on-the-clock forklift certification is available when employees are ready to advance. Employment offers are contingent on applicable background screenings, a post-offer physical examination, and drug screening consistent with company policy and applicable law.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to report to work reliably and maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 30 pounds and safely handle heavier items, including kegs weighing up to 160 pounds, using mechanical equipment, team lifting, and established safe-work procedures.
- Must successfully complete applicable background screenings, a post-offer physical examination, and drug screening consistent with company policy and applicable law.
- No prior warehouse experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Select customer orders using a voice-directed system, a forearm-mounted iPhone for navigation, and a hand-mounted scanner for UPC verification.
- Build secure, well-balanced pallets to promote product stability during transit and damage-free delivery.
- Shrink-wrap completed pallets and stage them in designated outbound shipping lanes.
- Safely operate electric pallet jacks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area.
- Report reliably and contribute to a dependable team.
