About The Position
Ingram Content Group is hiring an Order Processor for its Operations team at its distribution operations in Jackson, Tennessee. The Operations team supports efficient distribution center and warehouse operations, with an emphasis on safety, accident prevention, and continuous process improvement. The role processes small-wrap book orders and prepares products for shipment using an automated order processing system.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of continuous work experience.
- At least 6 months of work experience involving walking, standing, lifting or carrying, pushing or pulling, gripping or grasping, bending, squatting or kneeling, twisting or turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above the shoulders, and typing or keyboard use.
Responsibilities
- Pick, verify, and pack book products for small-wrap orders.
- Print and apply shipping labels.
- Create shipping manifests.
- Pull and pack products identified by the automated order processing system to fulfill customer orders.
- Select an appropriate packing method for different order sizes and arrange books compactly in corrugated cardboard boxes, t-boards, or flats while following allowable shipping weights.
- Load products for shipment according to geographical destination.
- Restock products as needed.
- Pack products into cartons.
