About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities supporting BJ’s digital order initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role includes pulling merchandise from pick lists, verifying items and counts with a handheld RF scanner, moving orders from the sales floor to a staging area, and securely packaging orders according to standard operating procedures. Associates work to meet productivity expectations, service-level agreements, deadlines, and other performance metrics while supporting members and club operations.

The associate helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including the OMNI space and storage bins. The role follows club policies, procedures, dress-code standards, and operational processes; communicates inventory or equipment issues; handles damaged or spoiled products and returns; and may perform other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds with assistance when required.
• Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member orders in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use a handheld RF scanner to pick orders and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and update merchandise locations as needed.
• Communicate inventory and equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly to meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, and performance metrics.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and established standard operating procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when metrics are not met.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the Ship from Club area and OMNI space neat, clean, and organized; maintain storage bins and perform general housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them, including through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, and dress-code standards.
• Deliver service excellence, address and de-escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Work collaboratively to achieve goals and deliver daily GOLD member and club standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
