About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate works in BuyWander’s warehouse to fulfill customer orders quickly and accurately. The role involves continuous, rapid movement throughout the warehouse and running orders out for customer pickup. It is a highly physical, full-time position requiring employees to move quickly and efficiently throughout the day. The position is based in Addison, Chicago, Illinois, and reports to the Order Fulfillment Supervisor.

The associate claims, gathers, verifies, and delivers customer orders; helps customers carry orders to their vehicles; and ensures every item is scanned out before leaving the building. The role also includes greeting and thanking customers, maintaining a clean and organized fulfillment area, and answering customer questions or directing advanced inquiries to a supervisor.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday and pays $18 per hour. It requires sustained physical activity, including prolonged standing, walking, and running; repeatedly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; and frequent bending, stooping, and overhead reaching. Work may take place indoors or outdoors as business needs require, with exposure to varying weather and environmental conditions. Employees must follow safety policies and use appropriate protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to move quickly and sustain high-energy work throughout the entire shift.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods with minimal breaks.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.
• Ability to work at a very fast pace in a goal-driven environment.
• Ability to perform the listed physical activities and communicate with others as required for daily work.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions while following safety policies and using appropriate protective equipment.
• Must reside and work in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a fast-paced or physically demanding environment is preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
