About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate supports accurate and efficient order fulfillment, timely shipping, and customer satisfaction. The role involves retrieving parts from the warehouse and other locations, receiving and processing shipments, maintaining inventory, preparing parts for shipment, processing returns, and issuing credits. The associate also contributes to teamwork, continuous improvement, and a clean, safe work environment. The position is located at Knox Auto Parts in Birmingham, Alabama, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and professionalism in internal and external transactions.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, and to collaborate across functions and share expertise.
Self-starter with the ability to meet timelines and schedules related to the role's essential functions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to ambulate throughout the facility for most of the workday.
Ability to operate equipment in a workstation and use both hands with sufficient dexterity to operate basic hand and power tools safely.
Ability to lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in warehouse or logistics environments, including understanding inventory management and operating material handling equipment.
Forklift certificate.
Automotive experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and teamwork, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and restocking.
Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, retrieve parts from warehouses or other locations, and support timely shipment and inventory accuracy.
Process returns and issue credits.
Inspect and clean parts, package them appropriately, and prepare them for shipping.
Improve order fulfillment processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
