Oracle eBusiness Suite - Programmer Analyst
About The Position
This Programmer Analyst will serve as one of two senior developers for SCC’s HR and Financial Oracle E-Business Suite application (eSCC). As part of a four-person team using Agile development, the role processes complex backlog items and supports daily operations. The Programmer Analyst translates formal and informal requirements into database and application solutions, works independently and collaboratively, adapts to change, and communicates effectively with customers and coworkers. The role also requires compliance with system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews. Work must be fully documented, with technology turnover provided to other SCC staff.
Requirements
- Eight years of extensive technical experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2 or above in Linux server environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Eight years of experience coding and implementing Oracle eBusiness Suite development solutions, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Purchasing.
- Eight years of experience with iRecruitment, Human Resources, and Time and Labor modules.
- Eight years of proficiency with Oracle Developer Suite (Forms/Reports), Oracle JDeveloper (Java), Oracle Workflow Builder, and PL/SQL.
- Eight years of extensive technical experience in systems analysis and design.
- Eight years of experience and proficiency with Microsoft applications, Visio, SharePoint, and Office applications.
- Eight years of proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eight years of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eight years of ability to work independently with minimal direction and collaborate as part of a team.
- Eight years of being highly motivated and self-directed.
Nice To Haves
- Eight years of experience working with Azure DevOps.
- Eight years of experience with the VA Cardinal HR and/or Financial system.
- Eight years of experience with Power BI paginated reports, desktop reports, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications for Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.2 or above, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, iRecruitment, Human Resources, and Time and Labor modules.
- Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews and observations, then develop or modify applications using Oracle application standards and tools.
- Perform complex system administration, maintenance, and production-system support.
- Design, develop, modify, test, debug, and implement programs and systems.
- Develop and execute unit and system tests, and support user acceptance testing.
- Define input and output requirements and support the turnover of program changes into production.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Document work performed and provide technology turnover to other SCC staff.
- Comply with system development policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and coding standards and reviews.
- Perform related work as required.
