Oracle eBusiness Suite - Programmer Analyst 3 - hybrid Richmond, VA
About The Position
The Programmer Analyst will serve as one of two senior developers for the SCC’s HR and Financial Oracle E-Business Suite application (eSCC). Working as part of a four-person Agile development team, this position processes complex backlog items and supports daily operations. The role translates formal and informal requirements into database and application solutions, and requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to change, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. The employee must comply with system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews. Work must be fully documented, with technology turnover provided to other SCC staff.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of technical experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 or above in Linux server environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- At least 8 years of experience coding and implementing Oracle E-Business Suite software development solutions, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Purchasing.
- At least 8 years of experience with iRecruitment, Human Resources, and Time and Labor modules.
- At least 8 years of proficiency with Oracle Developer Suite (Forms/Reports), Oracle JDeveloper (Java), Oracle Workflow Builder, and PL/SQL.
- At least 8 years of technical experience in systems analysis and design.
- At least 8 years of experience and proficiency with Microsoft, Visio, SharePoint, and Office applications.
- At least 8 years of proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- At least 8 years of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 8 years of ability to work independently with minimal direction and collaborate as part of a team.
- At least 8 years of being highly motivated and self-directed.
Nice To Haves
- At least 8 years of experience working with Azure DevOps.
- At least 8 years of experience with the VA Cardinal HR and/or Financial system.
- At least 8 years of experience with Power BI paginated reports, desktop reports, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Execute application development for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 or above, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, iRecruitment, Human Resources, and Time and Labor modules.
- Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews and observations to develop and modify program applications using Oracle application standards and tools.
- Perform complex system administration, maintenance, and production-system support.
- Design, develop, modify, test, debug, and implement programs and systems.
- Develop and execute unit and system testing, and support user acceptance testing.
- Define input and output requirements and support the turnover of program changes into the production system.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Comply with system development policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, including coding standards and reviews.
- Fully document work performed and provide technology turnover to other SCC staff.
- Perform related work as required.
