About The Position

The OR Tech prepares sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintains the sterile field during cases, and provides surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures. The role is with Premiere Healthcare Staffing and supports partner healthcare facilities. Positions are listed in Newark, Denville, and Dover, New Jersey, in the Surgery department, with full-time day shifts available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience, is required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an OR Tech training program or completion of on-the-job training with at least 1 year of experience; surgical-setting experience is preferred.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties such as gynecology, general surgery, and plastics.
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, and urology.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• At least 1 year of OR Tech experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of experience is preferred.
• Surgical-setting experience is preferred.
