About The Position

Under general supervision, the OR Tech provides technical services and creates and maintains an aseptic environment in compliance with department standards. The role supports surgical procedures by organizing and preparing appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of hospital-established policies, the quality assurance program, and safety, environmental, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Knowledge of pre-operative planning and aseptic technique.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree in the medical field or specialized vocational training.
• Six months to one year of experience in a surgical setting at a surgical facility or in the Armed Services.
