About The Position

Mia Aesthetics is hiring an OR Sterilizer to prepare, sterilize, and clean surgical instruments used for surgeries and medical procedures. Requirements

High school diploma.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which must be maintained.
Excellent verbal and written communication across audiences, including staff, patients, and physicians.
Strong listening skills and the ability to quickly comprehend instructions from OR staff team members.
Excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Apply sanitary, infection-control, and safety standards when preparing and sanitizing surgical instruments.
Handle instruments accurately and safely in accordance with the sterilization process.
Handle sterile-processing equipment safely and accurately, and ensure it is working properly; escalate equipment malfunctions to the Clinical Manager if unable to resolve them.
Peel-pack supplies and instruments, wrap instruments for sterilization, and inspect instruments for usability, function, completeness, and cleanliness.
Document and maintain accurate sterilization records.
Perform simple equipment maintenance, such as cleaning filters and drains.
Prepare trays for designated areas according to policies and procedures.
Document and maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
