About The Position

US Fertility has an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN at Shady Grove Fertility in Westshore, Florida. This per diem role has a variable schedule that includes weekdays and Saturdays or Sundays. The RN supports patients through perioperative care in a collaborative fertility-care setting, providing clinical assessment, patient education, comfort, and psychological support.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
• Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.
