About The Position
US Fertility has an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN at Shady Grove Fertility in Westshore, Florida. This per diem role has a variable schedule, with work during the week as well as on Saturdays or Sundays. The RN provides perioperative and recovery care, patient education, comfort, and support in a collaborative fertility-care setting.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient-care problems and formulate care plans.
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop plans of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
