About The Position
Shady Grove Fertility, part of US Fertility, is hiring a part-time OR/PACU RN in Fairfax, Virginia. The role supports surgical and recovery care in a fertility practice and offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care within a physician-led national network of fertility centers. The schedule is every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, either 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with one to two holidays per year. Compensation is $40–$45 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
