Requirements
- Valid Oregon optometry license
- Strong understanding of ophthalmic physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient-centered eye care
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to build trust with patients of all ages and visual needs
- Comfortable diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions
- Enjoy collaborating with opticians, technicians, scribes, and administrative team members to create a positive, seamless patient experience
- Genuine passion for helping people protect and improve their vision

Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough eye examinations
- Assessing visual acuity and ocular health
- Prescribing corrective lenses
- Creating personalized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
- Diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, myopia management, and urgent concerns such as corneal abrasions, flashes, and floaters
- Using advanced diagnostic technology, including OCT, HVF, and fundus photography
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Supporting HIPAA compliance
- Educating patients on eye health and preventive care
- Collaborating closely with optical, clinical, and administrative team members to deliver a seamless patient experience
