About The Position
A Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of the Exam Practice and helps ensure a positive patient journey. The role involves knowledge of eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. The assistant guides patients through the initial steps of the Visionworks experience and helps meet their eye exam needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce the patient to the optometrist (OD) and provide the OD with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and provide associates with information to help them educate patients and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
- Support day-to-day exam lane operations and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
