About The Position
A Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of the Exam Practice and is dedicated to providing every patient with a positive experience. The role involves knowledge of eye health and preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. The assistant guides patients through the first steps of the Visionworks experience and helps ensure their eye exam needs are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce patients to the optometrist (OD) and provide the OD with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and provide associates with information to help them educate patients and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
- Support daily operations and patient experience goals by maintaining the exam lane, restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to address additional patient needs.
