About The Position

We are hiring to fill a current vacancy for an Optician at Factory Optical - Prince Albert, a partner of solis optics. With new management, we are expanding our Optician team and looking for individuals to help customers find their perfect fit in a fun, supportive, dynamic, and rewarding environment. This is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week, with our location open Monday to Sunday. You will make a meaningful impact on people's lives by helping them find the right eyewear.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in an optical setting.
• Registered Optician in Saskatchewan.
• Proficient with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring style, comfort, and optimal vision.
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties.
• Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines fashion with function.
• Support day-to-day store operations and contribute to overall store success.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to keep the store running smoothly.
