About The Position

As an Optical Dispenser with Henry Ford Health's Community Care Services, you help ensure patients receive appropriate eyewear solutions. You interpret ophthalmic prescriptions, deliver, adjust, and repair eyewear, and support patient comfort and vision. The role contributes to personalized care and the quality of life of the people served. The position includes completing required training courses as directed by Henry Ford OptimEyes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Previous computer experience and basic math skills.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret ophthalmic spectacle prescriptions and eyewear orders accurately.
• Deliver, adjust, and repair eyewear for patients.
• Ensure eyewear meets patient needs and prescription requirements.
• Complete required training courses as directed by Henry Ford OptimEyes.
