The selected candidate will assist the State Monitor Advocate (SMA) with functions related to the Migrant and Seasonal Farmwork (MSFW) program. Maintain and track program monitoring schedule. Monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) submitted by Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDBs) that address issues identified during monitoring activities. Maintain timelines for completion of reports and CAP responses. Serve as backup to the SMA in their absence. Maintain MSFW program files to ensure on-going compliance with FloridaCommerce processes and procedures. Assist in writing programmatic letters and memorandums as required by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) and FloridaCommerce. Review MSFW data, reports and department plans. Research work assignments and tasks in accordance with the department policies/procedures and federal regulations, where applicable. Systematic, on-going monitoring and oversight plays a critical role in meeting FloridaCommerce’s vision by ensuring a return on investment, system and program accountability, and continuous improvement through monitoring of the state’s workforce programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring program outcomes and standards meet the objectives of federal and state law while improving on the way we do business. You will also assist in helping Florida MSFWs obtain needed resources to become self-sufficient in an effective and efficient manner by ensuring local board processes and procedures comport with applicable federal and state law.
