About The Position

This position serves as a grant manager responsible for the administration and monitoring of multiple biomedical research grants. This includes all aspects of the grant management lifecycle, from application development and submission, pre-award tasks, post-award execution and monitoring, to grant reconciliation and closeout. The role involves working with Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research Officers on the effective execution of grants, terms and conditions, and amendments. It also includes providing technical assistance to grant awardees, developing deliverables, preparing agreements, tracking and reviewing progress reports, performing desk and onsite monitoring, tracking grant budgets, submitting invoices, and maintaining files and good working relationships with grant awardees and points of contact. Data entry into tracking logs for compliance and reporting is also a key responsibility, as is responding to inquiries regarding grants.

Requirements

  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office 365 Applications.

  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skill in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor multiple biomedical research grants.
  • Manage the grant lifecycle including application development, submission, pre-award, post-award execution, monitoring, reconciliation, and closeout.
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research Officers on grant execution, terms, conditions, and amendments.
  • Provide technical assistance to grant awardees and points of contact.
  • Develop deliverables and prepare agreements and amendments.
  • Track and review quarterly progress reports for grants.
  • Perform desk and onsite monitoring of assigned grants.
  • Track grant budgets and submit invoices for timely payment.
  • Maintain good working relationships with grant awardees and points of contact.
  • Maintain grant files from execution to final closeout.
  • Enter data into tracking logs to meet compliance requirements and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding grants in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Complete required modules of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) within 90 days of hire and subsequent refresher modules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Potentially perform emergency duty before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days.
