About The Position

Join an established multi-specialty ophthalmology group as an Ophthalmic Technician. The role supports ophthalmologists in delivering patient care, conducting preliminary examinations and diagnostic testing, assisting with procedures, managing clinic flow, and completing clinical and administrative work. Requirements

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for patient care and commitment to excellence.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Certification is required to administer eye drops.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information to support accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary examinations, including visual acuity and pupillary response testing.
• Administer diagnostic tests, including OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Manage patient flow in the clinic and imaging rooms in collaboration with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops; certification is required.
• Perform clinical and administrative tasks to support an efficient, organized clinic workflow.
• Perform indirect activities and other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient, high-quality operation of the medical practice.
