About The Position

The Ophthalmic Imager I is an entry-level, clinical, patient-facing position at Mitchell Eye Center. The role performs diagnostic imaging and testing, including visual field testing, OCT, fundus photography, corneal topography, and optical biometry. It requires customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and independent decision-making. The Imager supports clinic operations, maintains accurate patient imaging records and documentation, and follows practice procedures and applicable regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent years of related experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Ability to work independently with little oversight or manager presence.

Nice To Haves

Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
Ophthalmic and/or optometric clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support efficient and effective clinic flow of patients.
Assist with imaging needs, including optical biometry, fundus photos, OCT, visual field testing, and topography.
Upload and verify that patient images are correctly attached to the EMR.
Add diagnostic imaging to clinical chart notes with corresponding documentation for billing and coding purposes.
Resolve queries regarding imaging.
Report issues or concerns regarding imaging equipment or processes to clinical leadership.
Report medical or office supply inventory needs to clinic leadership in a timely manner.
Comply with practice procedures and protocols and with State and Federal regulations.
Participate in daily team huddles and regularly scheduled meetings as planned or required.
Report potential or suspected errors to a supervisor or Compliance manager.
Contribute to team efforts by completing additional tasks or projects as needed.
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism.
