About The Position

The Operator Trainee supports a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility by performing a wide range of tasks in manufacturing areas, including production support, quality checks, material setup, and keeping the workspace clean and organized. The role is normally the third team member assigned to a machine in the Production Department and supports operators on different machinery and in other areas as needed. Duties include ensuring machine tooling is available, assisting machine operators and assistant operators with setups and jam-ups, and keeping the area around machinery free of debris and spills. The position offers training and opportunities to develop and advance within manufacturing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to working safely.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.
• Strong desire to advance within the industry.
• Flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Math skills will be assessed.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and crouch.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in corrugated box manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Flexo, Gluers, Rotaries, clamp trucks, and forklifts.

Responsibilities
