About The Position
Operate a fork truck safely and responsibly while performing functions directly related to a manufacturing facility. The role performs shipping and receiving functions and daily computer transactions. It works closely with production and packaging departments and supports inventory control and warehouse operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Fork truck experience.
- Experienced forklift operation knowledge.
- Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of computer software, inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO system formats.
- AS400 Prism knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Document safety checks on the tow motor before use.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork.
- Complete activity movement sheets daily.
- Rotate stock using a FIFO format.
- Select the proper product for production needs.
- Maintain a clean work environment daily.
- Maintain and operate RF terminals daily.
- Perform monthly physical inventories as designated by corporate staff and perform cycle counts with the department manager.
- Work closely with production and packaging departments.
- Maintain open communication with fellow workers.
