About The Position
D&G Transportation, a family-owned national LTL carrier, is hiring a full-time Forklift Operator at its climate-controlled storage facility in Germantown, Wisconsin. This is a non-exempt, second-shift position, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The hourly wage is $20 or more and is negotiable according to experience. The work involves moving products in and out of trucks and storage racks across ambient, cooler, and freezer temperatures.
Requirements
- Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High regard for food safety and related policies.
- Reliability and readiness to start the shift at the designated time.
- Unwavering attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish and other language skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move products in and out of trucks and storage racks in ambient, cooler, and freezer temperatures.
- Understand and follow Bills of Lading.
- Accurately record and report pallet locations.
- Help maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
