About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves stock around a warehouse using a forklift. The role includes loading and unloading equipment and storing or relocating materials within a warehouse or manufacturing plant. The position works in a warehouse facility and follows a schedule of 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. No travel is required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Requirements

1–3 years of certified forklift experience.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate and read labels in English.

Nice To Haves

Sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain inventory.
Organize and safely secure materials, including boxes, bales, pallets, and super stacks.
Pick orders from inventory using a pick sheet.
Shrink-wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.
Weigh products and/or loads and record their weight.
Move hazardous materials.
Report faulty equipment, rack damage, and other potential safety hazards.
Take certification update courses.
Maintain a clean work area.
Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, refueling, and performing related tasks.
Consult and coordinate with managers, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading and unloading operations.
Attend meetings with the manager and coworkers.
Prepare, present, and/or approve bills of lading.
Check in and approve new shipments.
Perform quality checks and report quality variances through the proper channels.
Adhere to uniform requirements and comply with OSHA standards.
Rotate stock to ensure the oldest products are picked first.
Remain alert to other employees in the work zone.
Use radio frequency equipment as needed for picking, put-away, receiving, and load functions.
