About The Position

This role is part of Alcon’s Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, which ensures products comply with global, local, and internal regulations and meet quality standards. The Operator I, Quality Control Labs (Para-Professional & Support Path) handles manual and operational tasks in the Quality Control Labs to support smooth and efficient processes. The role includes inspecting, testing, and analyzing products and raw materials using analytical techniques and laboratory equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position operates within defined procedures with minimal decision-making and requires technical skills, precision, and adherence to procedures. The operator reports test results accurately and follows GxP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation requirements, quality controls, and required training. Associates are expected to meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
One year of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move material pallets.

Responsibilities

Handle manual or operational tasks in the Quality Control Labs according to guidelines.
Operate within defined procedures with minimal decision-making, applying technical skills, precision, and procedural adherence.
Inspect, test, and analyze products and raw materials to confirm they meet required specifications and standards.
Accurately report test results and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to integrate laboratory results into manufacturing.
Follow GxP regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain accurate and complete documentation, ensure quality control, and complete required training.
Meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement.
