About The Position

Quality Control maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and by recording results. The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills and keen attention to detail. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pay is $19.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
One year of forklift operating experience.
Experience receiving freight, verifying quantities, and signing freight bills in a warehouse environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Accurately count and verify UPCs; create product shipping labels, label products, and prepare them for shipping.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Maintain inventory quality and accuracy by inspecting freight and products for correct quantities and condition, and moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
Ensure unloading goals are met by monitoring unloaders and arrival times.
Research product overages, shortages, and discrepancies through physical inspection or system analysis.
Perform picking duties efficiently while meeting customer service standards.
Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report observed noncompliance.
Observe company safety rules and assist with enforcement as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
