We are a logistics company that focuses on the repair, refurbishment and re-manufacturing of pallets. This role involves using a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets. The position requires lifting pallets to examine them, removing defective boards, and correcting nail-related issues. Understanding pallet specifications and necessary modifications for customers is key. The role also includes troubleshooting jams and performing basic maintenance of the quality control station. The work environment is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality. The job involves visual inspection of pallets for defects such as broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination, and correcting defects that do not meet specification criteria. Damaged boards are removed with a pry bar/hammer, and the work area is cleaned during and at the end of the shift. Overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts may be required.
