About The Position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 2, Bakery-Production to join its Cayce, South Carolina bakery. The role operates and monitors automated production and packaging equipment to support product quality, food safety, and efficient manufacturing operations. It helps maintain equipment performance, meet production standards, and foster a safe, team-oriented environment. This is a second-shift position, with weekend availability required as needed by the business.

Requirements

At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Strong communication and observational skills.
Experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changing production demands.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Food manufacturing experience.
Computer proficiency.
Experience operating automated production or packaging equipment.
Knowledge of food safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust production and packaging equipment to meet product quality specifications.
Monitor production processes and equipment performance to ensure efficient operations.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Support preventive maintenance activities and maintain equipment cleanliness.
Communicate production, quality, safety, maintenance, and sanitation concerns to relevant stakeholders.
