About The Position
Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 1, Bakery – Production to join their team at the Swedesboro, NJ bakery. This role supports production operations by assisting with equipment operation, material handling, and line support to ensure a safe, efficient workflow and consistent product quality, while adhering to GMP and safety standards. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness and flexibility to work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends
- Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance expectations
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a fast-paced production, manufacturing, or packing environment
- Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or sanitation standards
- Experience operating basic production tools or equipment (e.g., pallet jacks)
Responsibilities
- Support bakery production operations by assisting with the setup, operation, and shutdown of production equipment
- Maintain continuous product flow by monitoring processes and reporting irregularities or quality concerns
- Ensure raw materials are supplied to the production line to meet operational needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with GMP and food safety standards
- Perform basic quality checks and promptly escalate deviations or contamination risks
- Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements while reporting unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
