About The Position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Packing Relief to join its bakery team. The role coordinates daily packaging and retail bagging activities, supports team members, and helps ensure products are packaged safely, accurately, and according to production and quality specifications. This is a first-shift position working 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with weekend availability required.

Requirements

Two years of related manufacturing experience or training, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to accurately complete routine production and packaging reports.
Ability to work the required first-shift schedule, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Bilingual English and Spanish.
Knowledge of inventory control software.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily packaging and retail bagging activities to meet production schedules and assign work to team members.
Monitor product quality and food safety requirements, including metal detector testing, freezer temperatures, and core product temperatures.
Verify lot codes, bar codes, use-by dates, case labels, retail bags, and inkjet coding for accuracy and legibility.
Complete packaging, production, spoilage, metal detector, pallet, checklist, and employee-hour documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain adequate packaging materials and supplies to support daily production requirements.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move products, including products entering and leaving the freezer.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and communicate equipment maintenance needs promptly.
