About The Position

The Operations and Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team responsible for the store’s operational and visual strategy. The role focuses on inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution to support an efficient, effective, customer-ready store. The manager oversees operational and visual processes, investigates inventory accuracy issues, supports safe and efficient operations, and partners with the General Manager on business planning and performance.

The position also leads and develops the Operations and Visual team, including coaching, accountability, talent development, communication, recruitment, succession planning, and schedule creation. The manager supports execution of the ALO Sales and Service Model’s Flow experience, works with business partners to support organizational goals and inventory and sales-floor KPIs, and balances business needs with brand culture.

This is a full-time role. Employees must be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, which may change, and must be able to work from the week of Black Friday through the end of the holiday season in the first week of January.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes.
• Investigate and identify root causes of inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Champion strong sales-floor visual standards using business performance data.
• Support sell-through management by ensuring inventory count accuracy and coordinating labor hours for efficient product delivery receiving.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient store operations.
• Represent the business in meetings and conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.
• Review and monitor budgets, reporting, business data, and metrics with the General Manager, and inform planning processes such as quarterly business reviews and sales planning.
• Plan ahead for workflow and business needs to protect optimal performance.
• Ensure the Operations and Visual team communicates ALO’s mission and guiding principles to visitors.
• Lead the team through accountability, regular coaching, talent development, and improved communication.
• Establish internal and external talent pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.
• Write schedules that prioritize business strategy in partnership with the General Manager.
• Oversee execution of Flow experience deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model while protecting operational efficiency.
• Collaborate on and implement the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally with business partners to support organizational goals and inventory and sales-floor KPIs.
• Navigate the organization while balancing business needs and brand culture.
