This role will be performed onsite at a closed-door pharmacy in Boca Raton, FL. Comprehensive training provided side by side with training team. Must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration Required
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills ; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

Nice To Haves

  • pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks and/or operational support activities to optimize workflow operations.
  • Respond to inquiries related to daily activities of work area, and act as a liaison between assigned work area and internal or external contacts to communicate appropriate information.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assigned work based on direction from Supervisor.
  • Update Supervisor on status accordingly.
  • Serve as a resource for the assigned functional area answering questions and providing general information or follow-up as needed
  • Assist in problem resolution through knowledge of policy, procedure and practice
  • Perform other department-specific duties and other assignments as appropriate
  • Ensure customer service standards are met for the facilities and patients we service
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas ensure smooth and efficient workflow
  • Screens vaccine recipients pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines
  • Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated
  • Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system.
  • Monitors pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as indicated
  • Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care
  • Face to face visits, email, phone calls
