About The Position

Provides basic technical and systems support under the direction of more senior Operations Support Engineers and identifies opportunities for basic process improvements. The role also assists with developing documentation and training materials. It supports Data Center Operations through basic technical and system issue resolution, process reviews, data analysis, documentation, user acceptance testing, and assigned project work.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• Advanced Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Support escalations for basic technical issues under the guidance of more senior staff, including system functionality questions, cable certification references, fiber or cable testing, and review of schematic designs before installation; offer suggestions for resolution.
• Review basic business and technical processes within the Data Center and identify opportunities for improvement; may lead process solutions.
• Provide basic support for Data Center Operations business systems such as Remedy, Oracle, and Siebel, resolving identified issues at the direction of senior team members.
• Review issues and customer problems, potentially using or creating non-standard reports, to identify patterns and determine whether issues relate to systems, training, or other causes; run predefined data cross-checks.
• Draft technical and non-technical documentation for work completed within the team for review by senior team members.
• Assist in developing training materials.
• Shadow senior team members during UAT facilitation and document findings.
• Manage an assigned portion of a larger project.
