Operations Supervisor - Distribution

About The Position

This is a hybrid Operations Supervisor / Inventory Supervisor position supporting a small distribution site. The role oversees and assists with inbound and outbound operations, international invoicing, cycle count management, and loading and unloading. It calls for hands-on leadership and the ability to support multiple business functions. As an Operations Supervisor at DHL Supply Chain, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implement processes to optimize warehouse operations. You will guide frontline associates, foster a safe and productive work environment, and contribute to the success of DHL Supply Chain. The position is a second-shift role, scheduled from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The successful candidate must be flexible and available for on-call support during evenings, weekends, and other business-critical situations. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the facility on short notice, including outside scheduled hours when operational support is needed, are required. DHL Supply Chain North America has over 500 facilities, more than 50,000 associates, and operates in over 150 million square feet of warehouse space. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
At least 1 year of operations experience in a lead, supervisor, or management role preferred.
At least 1 year of logistics industry experience preferred.
Staff management, workload planning, objective setting, and organizational skills preferred.
Must be flexible and available for on-call support during evenings, weekends, and other business-critical situations as needed.
Must maintain reliable transportation and be able to travel to the facility on short notice, including outside regularly scheduled hours.

Responsibilities

Oversee and assist with inbound and outbound operations, international invoicing, cycle count management, and loading and unloading activities.
Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of frontline associates through coaching, guidance, and support.
Develop a strong team culture of inclusion and belonging.
Uphold health and safety regulations and foster heightened safety awareness.
Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to track performance and identify improvement areas.
Provide regular reports and analysis to management, including achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improving warehouse operations.
Promote open communication and collaboration among leadership and associates to support transparency, alignment, and teamwork.
Implement processes to optimize warehouse operations.
