About The Position

The Operations Supervisor oversees drivers, routes, and employees to meet operational and productivity goals and support customer satisfaction. The role works in a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement and oversees the development of new and current staff. This is a full-time, onsite position on the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., in Madison, Alabama. The position reports to the Operations Manager and includes a two-year commitment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of management, operations, or customer experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
• Ability to learn new programs as necessary.
• Solid work history.
• Willingness to function successfully in a team environment.
• Two-year commitment.

Nice To Haves

• A four-year college degree can replace the experience requirement.
• Dispatch and/or customer service experience.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of TMW software.
• Leadership skills to develop staff members.
• Motivational skills to encourage workers to achieve more.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Flexible scheduling when needed to cover management vacation, time off, or time away from the office.

Responsibilities

• Review staff performance and provide timely, appropriate feedback.
• Manage staff scheduling, vacations, and payroll.
• Coordinate daily tasks and activities.
• Manage and retain a designated fleet of drivers.
• Manage and retain office employees.
• Enforce company policies and expectations.
• Create a safe and professional atmosphere for staff and drivers.
• Build good relationships with employees and remain approachable.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
