About The Position

The Operations Supervisor is a key member of the Pet Supplies Plus operations team, with the opportunity to build a career in supply chain operations. The role manages a team of 20 to 25 team members and supports replenishment and put-away processes. The supervisor oversees assigned supply chain functions, coordinates labor and work assignments to meet customer service-level agreements while controlling costs, and guides the team toward safe, efficient operations and continual improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of warehousing and distribution experience.
3–5 years of supervisory experience.
Ability to work flexible shifts and hours.
Interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with PCs, RF guns, and printers.

Nice To Haves

WMS experience, specifically Manhattan WM.

Responsibilities

Own assigned supply chain functions and provide day-to-day supervision, including oversight of cage items (high-value items).
Assign daily work to regular and temporary labor to meet or exceed customer SLAs while minimizing labor costs.
Lead, guide, coach, review, and counsel staff as needed, and ensure team members follow company policies and guidelines.
Apply understanding of 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma to improve key functions and activities.
Plan workloads to use labor efficiently in operations support across multiple departments.
Enforce safety and housekeeping standards to meet AIB standards.
Balance labor across departments to meet daily business needs, minimize overtime, and reduce labor costs.
Communicate standard operating procedures, share key information during pre-shift meetings, and ensure appropriate shift hand-offs.
Recommend layout changes to improve velocity and performance and reduce labor costs.
Comply with OSHA and applicable federal and state policies to optimize facility safety.
