About The Position

The Operations Supervisor manages team workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. The role promotes safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, coaching employees, resolving issues, and serving as a link between employees and upper management. This is an on-site position in Brownstown, Michigan, scheduled Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Compensation is an annual salary of $65,000 plus a bonus, with compensation based on experience, skills, and education.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with some college-level study.
At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lean Six Sigma experience.
Inventory experience.
Third-party logistics (3PL) experience.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe environment for customer products, associates, and temporary workers.
Follow established operational procedures, including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.
Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
Build a positive teamwork environment by listening to and communicating with all associates.
Help maintain attendance and tardiness records.
Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain associate skills at desired levels.
Help coordinate vacations, payroll, and timesheets for associates and temporary workers; address complaints and associate concerns; and monitor productivity and work quality.
Oversee the shift.
Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for a food-grade warehouse.
