About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, Assistant Director, and/or Director, assist with planning, implementing, directing, coordinating, and managing the operation of a functional area, division, and/or department. Analyze and maintain work flows and manage procedures for operational efficiency and optimum performance. Submit recommendations for approval for the implementation of quality assurance methods and workflow improvements. Identify operational needs and coordinate training to ensure compliance with federal, state and/or local requirements. Develop individual development plans for new hires and the cross-training of experienced teammates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or possession of an accredited equivalency diploma.
  • Ability to pass skills testing (such as typing, spelling, math, and grammar) within one (1) year.
  • Seven (7) years of direct experience related to job functions.
  • Three (3) years experience supervising/leading teams.
  • Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Ability to report to work on time and to perform the duties of the position for an entire workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference is given to candidates with experience in a government entity performing similar functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the achievement of department productivity and quality of work.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and manages business processes for effective and efficient workflows to ensure compliance with federal, state, and/or local requirements.
  • Monitors workflow volumes, assign work to teammates, and reallocate resources as necessary.
  • Manages and audits daily transactions, which may/may not be financial.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops teammates to maximize their potential.
  • Coaches, counsels, documents, and recommends promotion, demotion, and dismissal of teammates.
  • Evaluates and reviews performance of teammates.
  • Manages time and attendance of teammates.
  • Interviews and recommends applicants for hire.
  • Reviews and implements changes from the annual legislative sessions.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with outside agencies.
  • Manages a highly demanding work environment.
