This role supports on-site drone delivery operations in Houston. The position handles the ground tasks that make each delivery possible; it does not involve flying drones. The employee uses a reliable personal vehicle to pick up prepared food orders from local merchants and transport them to a drone site, then carefully prepares and loads orders into drones while ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety. The role supports daily operations in a fast-moving test environment, follows site procedures, identifies issues, and shares observations to help improve processes and technology. The employee works closely with a small, mission-driven team and communicates operational observations to engineers, operators, and cross-functional partners. The role also involves representing the client professionally when interacting with merchants and community members. The employee must live in the Houston Metro and be flexible to travel between work sites. Work location is in Houston, Texas, with the specific site to be confirmed after onboarding. The schedule is 40 hours per week with two days off; shifts generally begin either 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Preferences can be set, but shifts are generally assigned ahead of time.
