Operations Metrics and Reporting Analyst

About The Position

AXA XL is seeking an Operations Metrics and Reporting Analyst to support measurement and improvement of its Underwriting Operations department. The role maintains baseline reporting tools and develops insights from large datasets to help leadership make strategic and tactical decisions. The analyst works with Operations leaders, Finance, Innovation Data & Analytics, and other teams to develop data presentations and analysis tools. The position reports to the Sr Operations Metrics and Reporting Analyst.

Requirements

Experience leveraging large datasets, preferably in an insurance setting.
Proven ability to build Excel models and use BI tools.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to build and enhance data analysis tools.
Experience with commercial insurance operations and ability to assist with developing metrics to measure operational team capacity and outputs.
Outstanding presentation skills to support leadership's strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Maintain baseline reporting tools that measure the effectiveness of the Underwriting Operations team, including team and individual performance scorecards, management reporting dashboards, staffing models, and production reporting.
Extract and share insights from reporting to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
Identify opportunities for training, process or automation improvements, staffing adjustments, or service adjustments.
Collaborate with Operations leaders, Finance, Innovation Data & Analytics, and other teams to develop impactful data presentations using Excel, BI tools, or other dashboards.
