About The Position
The Operations Manager II at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes to optimize operations. The role leads and develops a team, fosters a safe, productive, inclusive work environment, and supports the overall success of the organization. It offers the opportunity to contribute to DHL Supply Chain's work as a global contract logistics provider. The shift pattern is not yet finalized and may change as business needs are confirmed. The organization describes its environment as business casual and emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, guide, and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports, while building a culture of inclusion and belonging.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to improve productivity and operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and promote heightened safety awareness.
- Compile reports on key performance indicators, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to inform decisions and support continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration through regular dialogue among leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on the hiring process for Supervisors, providing input and recommendations on candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer orders consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and address concerns or issues to support exceptional customer satisfaction.
