About The Position
The Operations Manager II at DHL Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses and implementing processes that optimize warehouse operations. The role leads and develops a diverse team, promotes a safe and productive work environment, and contributes to the success of the organization. It also works with cross-functional teams and customers to support timely order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction. DHL Supply Chain North America operates more than 500 facilities, employs over 50,000 associates, and manages over 150 million square feet of warehouse space. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement in a business-casual environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of logistics industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, guide, and develop Supervisors and indirect reports while fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and labor plans, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Uphold health and safety compliance and foster heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Compile reports on KPIs, including productivity and accuracy metrics, to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Promote open communication and collaboration between leadership and associates.
- Partner with Human Resources and site leadership on the hiring process for Supervisors and provide input on candidate selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled consistently and promptly.
- Partner with customers and proactively address concerns or issues to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
