Operations Manager - Order Fulfillment
About The Position
The Operations Manager is responsible for operations and performance metrics, P&L, and inventory management for an assigned operation. The role manages, coaches, and develops direct reports; documents and monitors goals and objectives; and pursues operational excellence through disciplined, consistent execution of processes. The manager develops and administers operational strategies and objectives, directs operations to meet financial and organizational goals, and establishes and oversees compliance with operational policies and procedures. The position contributes to short- and long-range planning and the annual operating budget, and works to achieve efficient, economical performance against profit and year-end goals. It also supports investigation and implementation of new services, manufacturing processes, product or systems technologies, and operational systems for new business growth. The role participates in quarterly business reviews with business development and maintains and measures key metrics across the full client base.

- Specific experience with companies providing value-added services in distribution and inventory management for retail and consumer goods companies.
- At least 5–10 years of operations and management experience, primarily in logistics and supply chain services environments, either with a third-party logistics provider or a company heavily involved in this area.
- Ability to create and maintain analytical worksheets in Excel.
- Ability to translate data into implications that enable continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, communicate, and administer operations strategies and objectives to support organizational goals.
- Direct operations to meet financial objectives and organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain operational policies and procedures, oversee compliance with Company policies, and evaluate and implement changes to systems and procedures as needed.
- Contribute to short- and long-range planning and the establishment and assessment of the annual operating budget.
- Ensure efficient and economical performance in relation to profit and year-end goals.
- Participate in investigating and implementing new services, manufacturing processes, and product or systems technologies.
- Participate in quarterly business reviews with business development.
- Support the introduction of new operational systems as part of new business growth.
- Maintain and measure key metrics across the full client base.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports; document and monitor goals and objectives.
