KC Warehouse - Operations Manager

About The Position

The Operations Manager oversees Pure Fishing’s omni-channel fulfillment operation serving retail, wholesale, dealer and distributor, and eCommerce customers. This role manages daily warehouse, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processes to ensure accurate and timely customer deliveries. The position calls for a consumer goods fulfillment background, an emphasis on efficiency and quality, and collaboration across business functions. The manager leads warehouse supervisors, leads, and associates; develops the team; promotes engagement and safety; and coordinates labor and resources around order volume and seasonal demand. The role also oversees inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, operational KPIs, budgets, customer experience, and reporting. It uses warehouse management, ERP, and order management systems to support visibility and decisions. The position is based in a fast-paced warehouse and fulfillment environment. It includes time on the warehouse floor and regular collaboration with operations, customer service, planning, and eCommerce partners. Some physical activity is required, and occasional weekend or extended hours may be needed during peak periods.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse, or operations management.
Proven leadership experience developing high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer fulfillment, pick/pack operations, and inventory management.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems, ERP, and operational systems.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Data-driven approach and experience developing and monitoring operational KPIs.
Some physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and handling product as needed.
Occasional weekend or extended hours may be required during peak periods.

Responsibilities

Lead daily multi-channel pick, pack, and ship processes to meet delivery and quality targets.
Oversee order integrity and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries that meet business and customer requirements.
Plan labor and allocate resources in line with order volumes and seasonal peaks.
Lead warehouse supervisors, leads, and associates; provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
Promote employee engagement, cross-training, and a strong facility safety culture.
Oversee finished goods inventory accuracy, process compliance, cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
Collaborate with supply chain and planning teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations in support of business growth.
Develop and monitor operational KPIs and promote accountability.
Oversee budget plans for areas of responsibility and adjust them to operational needs.
Partner with Customer Service to support an excellent post-purchase experience and resolve operational issues promptly.
Use WMS, ERP, and order management tools to support operational visibility and decision-making.
Provide leadership with accurate reports and insights on operational performance and opportunities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
