This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding budgetary expectations, cost control on F&B including liquor, and managing labor costs through proper staffing and schedule management. The position also involves assisting with developing specials and events, completing required paperwork, and conducting monthly building inventories. Additionally, the role includes supervising hourly staff and supervisors, conducting annual evaluations, proposing compensation recommendations, holding departmental staff meetings, and maintaining an open door policy with staff. The Operations Manager will monitor staff progress, provide ongoing training, oversee participation in cross-training programs, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and ensure positive staff relations. This role also manages and aids in the execution of on-site training programs, supervises venue trainers, conducts Alcohol Awareness Certification classes, and reviews training guides. The Operations Manager will also conduct wrap-up meetings, 30-day reviews, and quarterly training seminars for in-house trainers. The role requires attending training seminars and venue operations meetings, completing weekly staff schedules, maintaining service and housekeeping standards, meeting health and safety requirements, and adhering to all policies and procedures. The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining operational supplies, ensuring compliance with alcohol policies, keeping a guest feedback log, maintaining 86 logs, completing incident reports, staffing the coat check area, and coordinating labor based on business volume. The role also ensures adequate environmental standards, conducts pre- and post-shift meetings, provides for liquor pulls and accurate accounting, coordinates private/special events, and assists with other venue operations as needed.
